๐ŸŽƒ๐Ÿ‘ธMy Baby Is Home๐Ÿ‘ธ๐ŸŽƒ

She’s home!
Isabelle arrived home sunday evening from her Brownie and Guides group trip to Disneyland!
She has had THE best time ever and one of the first things she said to me was “Mum! I wasn’t homesick at all, not even once!!” This is a huge step in the right direction and a brilliant achievement for her as she has been suffering with separation anxiety, general anxiety and panic attacks. She was so excited but equally nervous about going as she was worried about missing us too much even though we reassured her countless times she was still anxious about the trip which is understandable. To hear her say she wasn’t homesick; well I could’ve just cried because I’m so proud of her for going, enjoying every second of it and just being a 9 year old little girl with not a care in the world. She even continued her love of writing because she had wrote about her entire trip in her note pad while she was away. I love seeing the joy and enthusiasm she has for writing and how she tries to write at every opportunity.

This year hasn’t been an easy one for us as a family, things have happened that most people go through in a life time, if at all, never mind in one year. It’s really hit Isabelle hard, more than what most people even realize. She really needed this little break away from all the stresses, the sadness, the normal day to day life and I couldn’t have asked for a better group of girls for her to have gone with. Isabelle has come back relaxed, happy, carefree and just like any other 9 year old little girl should be. To see her like her old self again makes me happy and warms my heart so much. I can’t even explain how proud I am of her!

While Isabelle was away Che and I spent the entire weekend giving her bedroom a complete gutting out and make over. We still need to do a few more little things for her room to look 100% perfect but as you can see from the picture she loves her new bedroom, we’ve barely seen her all day!

We’re now ready for a week of spooky fun, arts and crafts, films, sleepovers, family time and we’re going to look at booking Disneyland for all 3 of us to go next year as a family before she has to go back to school next week! โ˜บโ˜บโ˜บ
